Arnaud and Sébastien, two farmers on the island of Martinique, want to plant 6,450 trees of 34 different species on plots of land previously used for intensive banana cultivation, polluted with chlordecone. Planting agroforestry trees will address the territorial issues of soil pollution by chlordecone and food sovereignty in Martinique, which still imports over 80% of its food consumption.
95% of the donations received will be put into the project and the remaining 5% used to cover the running costs of A Tree For You
