In the region of Lake Itasy, the Mahavotra project is helping 900 farming families shift towards agroecological practices and introducing forestry and agroforestry systems by planting 48 825 trees. This project builds on a first plantation plan in the region in 2019.

This project aims to restore the natural resources of the Malagasy coast and to tackle food insecurity through the planting of 8,000 mangrove trees. This project has a strong educational component, as it allows students from surrounding schools to participate in a planting day and to raise awareness of environmental issues throughout the school year. This project is the continuation of an initial project carried out in 2021/2022 in the region.

Yves is a crop farmer in the Beauce region of France. He works in organic and conservation agriculture and is keen to expand this approach to include more sustainable farming methods by planting trees on his land. Introducing 6,579 trees of over 50 different species will reduce the significant loss of soil and fertility and enrich the surrounding biodiversity.

Affected by chestnut ink disease, some forests in Île-de-France (Paris and its region) are rapidly dying. Damage in Meudon forest is significant because this species currently represents 30% of the cover. Also, in certain areas where the trees are diseased or dead, the National Forest Office (Office National des Forêts, ONF) must resort to sanitation cutting. This project aims to restore woodland with more resistant species – namely sessile oak, hornbeam, and Atlas cedar – with the overall goal being to maintain the forest cover and atmosphere in Meudon.
