The project aims to protect the Cévennes black bee by establishing a melliferous forest. Planting 5,468 trees of a variety of species will provide food and shelter for this bee, which is currently threatened by the degradation of its natural habitat and by intensive farming. Community planting days will be held throughout the project to raise local awareness of the issues at stake, and a biodiversity survey will be carried out to measure the project’s impact. This project follows on from an initial project carried out in the same forest in 2024.
90% of the donations received will be put into the project and the remaining 10% used to cover the running costs of A Tree for You
