This project aims to restore the mangroves degraded by urbanisation and mine tailings in the La Coulée river estuary in Mont-Dore, New Caledonia. The activities of setting up nurseries, planting, and monitoring will be carried out together with young adults aged between 18 and 25 in social rehabilitation programmes. Hence planting 7,000 mangrove trees in an urban area will meet the island’s environmental and social challenges.

The project aims to restore the Marismas Nacionales Sinaloa wetlands in Mexico, which are currently suffering from the effects of human activities and climate change. The construction of artificial channels and the planting of 30,000 mangrove trees, together with local fishing communities, will improve water quality and generate a better habitat for vegetal and animal biodiversity, including fish, crustaceans and bivalve shells, which are essential resources for local communities.

By planting 25,000 trees, the KOLORANO project aims to disseminate various agroecological practices to boost these these fragile environments and safeguard water and food for the local population.

This project aims to support farmers in southern France face the effects of climate change by replanting hedgerows and trees on their land. Agroforestry helps restore soil fertility, improves water management, and strengthens biodiversity while creating more resilient landscapes. A total of 2,745 local and climate-adapted trees will be planted across several Mediterranean departments. The project also promotes the transfer of sustainable know-how and diversification of agricultural income.

This will improve both yields and biodiversity, so making the farm more resilient.

The project aims to plant 2,600 trees and shrubs on two wine estates in Corsica, under the Patrimonio appellation. The trees will improve soil quality, improve water retention, and reduce vine evapotranspiration. They will also promote biodiversity and support local species like the shrike bird. By integrating trees and vines, the project combines wine quality, climate adaptation, and ecosystem preservation.

Vincent strongly believes in the crucial role of the trees in his agricultural system. He realised the importance of introducing them in order to restore the soil, expand his vegetable and cereal production, diversify and increase his agricultural production. Since planting his first trees in 2018, he wants to continue with an additional 570 new trees to attract an abundance of biodiversity by creating ecological corridors.
Alexandre, a farmer, and winegrower in the Vaucluse department, is keen to reintroduce 825 trees of 32 different species to his plots of land. Planting hedges around and within the vineyard will protect the vines from the wind and impacts of climate change. A second phase of the project will be to create an edible forest garden by combining market gardening with tall trees on another plot, which will improve biodiversity.
