This project, located in the region of Normandy, aims to plant hedgerows with the help of farmers, thus completing the existing hedgerow network, typical of this region. Planting 10,000 trees, of which 15 different species, will allow the development of a rich and diversified fauna as well as a source of shelter and food and will also be an important support for the local flora. This project is a continuation of the projects carried out every year since 2020 in the region.

This plantations of fertile trees and cocoa trees of an old variety are very resistant and prized for its organoleptic qualities. These trees provide a decent income for families, while regenerating soils and thus protecting the surrounding forest from the old practice of slash and burn.

Affected by chestnut ink disease, this forest in the west of Ile-de-France (Paris region) is rapidly dying out. Here in Montmorency, the forest was classified as being in a health crisis in 2018. When the trees are diseased or dead, we must then resort to sanitation cutting. This project, exclusively reserved for RED by SFR clients, seeks to restore healthy afforestation with more resistant species: the sessile oak, sorb tree and whitebeam, together with a natural increase in birch trees …

Affected by chestnut ink disease, some forests in the north of Ile-de-France (Paris region) are rapidly dying out. Such is the damage in Montmorency – where chestnut trees currently represent 70% of its cover – that the forest was classified as being in a health crisis in 2018. When the trees are diseased or dead, the French National Forests Office (Office national des forêts, ONF), a partner of A Tree for You, must then resort to sanitation cutting. This project seeks to restore healthy afforestation with more resistant species. This project is entirely financed by the Or en Cash Fondation.

This project in Canada aims to support Ontario farm families who want to switch to organic farming and restore local ecosystems by planting 3,500 trees. This planting will create ecological corridors to protect local wildlife, improve soil and water quality, and store carbon. This project builds on a first plantation plan in Ontario in 2020.

The project aims to boost the community nurseries, made up of 201 families, and reforest the region by introducing the silvopastoral approach to small dairy farmers (planting trees in their meadows) and restoring watersheds. Planting 20,000 native trees, as well as developing economic alternatives based on medicinal plants and raising environmental awareness among local inhabitants, will reconcile economic development with preservation of the rich biodiversity in the Colombian Andes, especially the unique páramo ecosystem, which is at risk of disappearing.

After Armenia gained its independence, the lack of energy resources forced the population to (over)consume the rich wood resources in the region in order to withstand the harsh winters. Today, the villagers of Dzoraglukh are feeling the consequences and now realise the crucial importance of restoring the lost forest. The project to plant 20,800 trees over three years seeks to breath life back into areas once covered with oaks.

This project aims to rehabilitate a 7-hectare deforested area in Shenavan, in the Lori region of Armenia. The planting of 22,200 trees will help tackle erosion and improve soil fertility, create wood resources for local communities and provide them with additional income through the harvesting and sale of fruit.

This project aims to restore the mangroves degraded by urbanisation and mine tailings in the La Coulée river estuary in Mont-Dore, New Caledonia. The activities of setting up nurseries, planting, and monitoring will be carried out together with young adults aged between 18 and 25 in social rehabilitation programmes. Hence planting 7,000 mangrove trees in an urban area will meet the island’s environmental and social challenges.
